The first time I saw the movie trailer for “Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa Wifi”, I said – “What? Is there even such an allergy?” hahaha! That’s the start of my curiosity and fortunately, I got invited to watch it. 🙂
It’s the story of Norma, an ordinary teenage girl, and like most girls, her life (and love life) revolves around technology. One day she is diagnosed with Electromagnetic Hyper-Sensitivity — an unusual illness that makes her literally allergic to Wi-Fi, data signals, etc. So she is forced to move in with her grandmother in the province and learns to live a much simpler life that will impact her relationship with Leo — and her friendship with Leo’s brother, Aries.
It’s such a pity coz in today’s fast-changing technology, Norma will be left behind. Imagine a life without Facebook, without internet, without a smartphone! I can last probably a month without social media or internet but beyond that, I’d go definitely crazy LOL.
Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi is the first full-length film venture of CIGNAL Entertainment which is an original content division of CIGNAL TV, one of the country’s largest pay-tv platforms.
